2017/2018 MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS HOLDS ON WEDNESDAY, 7TH FEBRUARY, 2018

The Lagos State University will hold its 2017/2018 Matriculation Exercise for the newly admitted students on Wednesday, 7th February, 2018.

In view of the above, newly admitted students are to pay a sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2,500.00) only for Matriculation Gown into Sterling Bank Third Party Account 0006594081 (LASU Branch) from Tuesday, 30th January, 2018.

The bank teller should be used to obtain an official receipt at the Bursary Department. The receipt shall then be presented for collection of Matriculation Gown at their respective Faculty Office from Friday, 2nd February, 2018.Collection of gown ends on Tuesday, 6th February,
2018.

The Matriculation Gown should be returned to the point of collection not later than 4.00p.m. on the day of Matriculation. Failure to return the Matriculation Gown as stated above shall attract penalty of Two Thousand, Five Hundred (N2,500.00) Naira per day.

Also, all Matriculating Students are to entertain their guests at the Matriculation ground. On no account should any matriculating Student host/entertain the guests in any Faculty. Failure to comply with this directive may lead to forfeiture of provisional admission.

LEGALINK 1.0

One of the greatest tool of a lawyer as rightly said is his pen.

It is in light of the above the Executive of Elias Chambers invites interested members of the faculty of law, Lagos State University to participate in her writing competition, LEGALINK 1.0.

The competition is open to all 100L-300L students of the Faculty of law, Lagos State University without any further qualification.

The topic for Legalink 1.0 is "Arbitration referred to as an ADR: a classification error. "

Writing format is microsoft word, with the following standard;

Font style - Times New Roman
Font size - 12 body, 10 footnote
Line spacing - 1.5 body, 1.0footnote
Word count - 1000-1200words (excluding footnote where used)

NB: Names should not be contained in the main essay.

Email submission must contain the following;
1. Name
2. Level
3. Word count

Essays should be submitted to, eliaschambers@gmail.com on or before 6:00pm, 9th February, 2018.
